In my research for Wartime Investing, a book about how the stock market reacts to conflicts like the Vietnam War and the Cuban Missile Crisis, I laughed out loud as I read about the bureaucracy that the Apollo 11 team had to go through after they returned home from being on the moon. They arrived safely on Earth and were transported to Hawaii were they were asked to fill out the standard Customs & Declarations form at security. In the section asking “Departure From:” they had to write “The Moon” and for the items they acquired on the trip, they wrote, “moon rock and moon dust samples.” Too funny! Publishing the book Wartime Investing wouldn’t be possible without your interest – thank you for being a part of it!
